The Par Tee Driving Range and Miniature Golf Center, Lexington County’s Premier Golf Practice Center, invites you to sharpen your golf skills while enjoying some of the most scenic views in the Midlands. Located on the Charleston Highway, at the intersection of Exit # 115 on I-26 and Exit # 1 on I-77, The Par Tee Golf Center is just minutes from Downtown Columbia, South Carolina.
For almost 30 years, golfers have been improving their golf game at The Par Tee Driving Range. The Par Tee Golf Center is a great place to work on your golf game whether you're a first timer or a seasoned veteran of the game. This spacious practice facility offers a well kept, bermuda grass tee box that stretches nearly 250 yards across (over-seeded with rye grass during the cooler months). We also have several artificial hitting mats, quality golf balls, and various targets located throughout the range for you to sharpen your directional skills. You can dial in your short game on The Par Tee Golf Center's 6000 square foot practice green. The green features a Mini Verde putting surface is available for customers to practice their chipping, bunker play, and putting. Use of the putting green is complimentary for all customers who purchase range balls for practice.
3 Hole Par 3 Loop

The Par Tee Golf Center has played host to the 2013-2019 East Coast Classic, a World Long Drive Event run by The Golf Channel, several Drive, Chip and Putt Local Qualifiers, Multi-Vendor Demo Days, and is the official practice Facility of the Columbia College Koalas.
The Miniature Golf Course
The Mini Golf Course at The Par Tee has been completely renovated, re-turfed and is ready for play. The Par Tee, Miniature Golf Course features 18 holes of Putt-Putt style golf. The fantastic layout offers a picturesque view of Williams Brice Stadium and Downtown Columbia, while you maneuver your way through 18 Mini-Golf Holes surrounded by flowing waterfalls and streams. The Par Tee Miniature Golf Course is fun and exciting for players of all ages and skill levels.

The Par Tee, Par 3 Loop opened in the summer of 2017. This unique, 3 hole, par 3 loop has three large, mini-verde bermudagrass, putting greens. Each green has four sets of tees that allow players the opportunity to play 12 holes. The course also has 5 bunkers. The Par 3 Loop is maintained to the highest standards. Holes range in distance from 60 to 150 yards, and we have even created options where you can play a few Par 4 holes. To view the Par 3 scorecard, click on the Par 3 Loop link on the Menu above.
The Par Tee Golf Center is under the leadership of PGA Golf Professional, Tom Mason. Tom brings 25 years of professional golf experience to The Par Tee Golf Center. Tom was named the Carolinas PGA 2019 Golf Professional of the Year. Tom was the Carolinas PGA Section 2018 Player Development Award Recipient, Carolinas PGA Section 2017 Youth Player Development Award Recipient, and the 2012 Carolinas PGA Horton Smith Award Winner. Tom will share his love for the game of golf, knowledge of the golf swing and short game, and course management skills to golfers of all ages, abilities, and skill levels. Newly renovated and re-opened in November of 2019, The Par Tee Mini Golf Course offer players 18 Holes of Putt-Putt Style Golf. The layout is challenging but fun and makes for a great afternoon or evening activity for the family. The Mini Golf Course is open during the hours of operation listed below.
The Par Tee Fitting Process is much more thorough and accurate in comparison to places that fit indoors, hitting into a screen. Golfers will be fit on a grass surface, not an artificial mat, and and will be able to see their ball in flight. Greensboro, NC. (December 2, 2019) – The Carolinas PGA is honored to announce the winners of the 2019 Section Special Awards. Distributed annually by the Carolinas PGA, the top eleven most deserving Carolinas PGA Professionals are selected by the Special Awards Committee, whose mission is to recognize the best and brightest PGA professionals in North and South Carolina.
The Carolinas PGA is proud to announce the 2019 Golf Professional of the Year, Tom Mason, PGA. A dedicated member of the Section since 1996, Mason currently serves as Director and Owner of The Par Tee Golf Center as well as Head Golf Coach at Columbia College. His dedication to grow the game of golf is showcased through his numerous junior golf initiatives, coaching at the local college, and volunteer time spent with the Carolinas Section and allied associations. Mason’s impact and success is also showcased through his previous awards earned with the Section; 2017 Youth Player Development Award, 2018 Player Development Award, and 2012 Horton Smith Award.
The highest honor paid to a PGA Professional, the Golf Professional of the Year Award honors excellent overall performance as a golf professional at his/her facility, level of service to the Section, leadership ability, image and the ability to inspire fellow professionals, and promotion of the game of golf.
In addition to the Carolinas’ ten annual awards, the Patriot Award has been added to list of honors for 2019. Numerous professionals in the Carolinas are vehemently dedicated to impacting the lives of military veterans through the game of golf and deserve to be recognized for their selfless efforts. Winning the inaugural CPGA Patriot Award is Perry Green, PGA. In addition to his duties as General Manager at The Golf Club at Wescott Plantation, Green has led the charge with the PGA HOPE program in the Charleston area. Beginning the program in 2014 with four veteran participants, Green has now impacted the lives of over 300 veterans in his program alone.
