The PGA Junior League Golf Concept was created in 2012 and introduced to North and South Carolina in 2013. PGA Professional, Tom Mason, has embraced the idea and taken PGA Junior League Golf to a new level in Columbia, SC. The league has introduced over 160 children to a fun, team atmosphere in a golf league that offers "learning" competitions for less skilled golfers, and competitive events for more advanced players.
The Par Tee PGA Junior League is designed to better socialize the game of golf for Juniors, 13 and under, by creating a “little league” approach to golf. Children will play a scramble (captain’s choice) format and will be paired with another player. They will compete against other teams and earn flags (points) for winning 3 hole segments in the 9 hole match. Typically in the first few matches, our older, more experienced players will mentor our younger, novice players.
Participants will have a chance to compete on an All-Star Team that will travel to a Local and State Championship. If successful at the State Level, the All-Star Team will advance to a Regional Final and possibly to a National Competition. Participants for the team will be chosen based on qualifying scores throughout the year. The Par Tee All-Star Teams have been the most successful teams in South Carolina, enjoying trips to the Regional and National Finals from 2013-2017
Our 2015 All-Star Team won the Southeast Regional and Finished 5th Overall in the Nation !!!
Our 2013 All-Star Team Finished Second to Team Georgia at the Southeast Regional in St. Augustine, Florida
Our 2014 All-Star Team Finished Second to Team Tennessee at the Southeast Regional in Sevierville, Tennessee
Our 2016 All-Star Team Finished Second to Team Georgia at the Southeast Regional in Savannah, Georgia
Our 2016 All-Star Team Finished in Fourth Place at the Southeast Regional in Kiawah Island, South Carolina
